Wouxun KG-UV8E
You want to transmit on the 220 but you don’t want to lug an extra radio around. Why carry multiple transceivers at your side when you TX it all on one? Introducing the Wouxun KG-UV8E, the tri-band professional two way radio for amateurs! This dual receive, dual display UHF/VHF portable handheld takes all the powerful features of the popular KG-UV8D and adds both RX and TX on 1.25 meters for full tri-band excitement at a dual band price!
The KG-UV8E transmits with up to 4 watts of power on UHF and 5 watts on VHF. It let you transmit on one area and receive on the other area at the same time. It gives you true dual reception, the capability to receive on both A and B areas simultaneously. With 999 programmable memory channels, DTMF encode/decode, wide and narrow bandwidth selection, priority scan, Caller ID display, multi-function side keys and more, the KG-UV8E is loaded with the all the functions you’ve come to expect from a full-featured Wouxun.
And for those who need it all, the KG-UV8E also includes the same duplex cross-band repeat feature found on the KG-UV8D, so you can upgrade to tri-band and still keep full cross-band mode! Now, that’s power!
But what about the display? It’s there too. The large, bright, full color LCD display that made the Wouxun KG-UV8D famous is standard on the KG-UV8E as well. The Power-On display is also customizable and voice prompts assist you with menu navigation.
Wouxun didn’t forget the extras, either. The KG-UV8E has Channel Name edit and display, Dual Standby, low voltage voice prompt, the 76-108Mhz FM radio, SOS function, VOX, and the built-in, high illumination flashlight are all included. It even has the stopwatch!
The KG UV8E is powered by a 7.4v 1700mAh Li-Ion battery pack. Power Saver Mode helps increase efficiency and preserve battery life.
This version of the Wouxun KG-UV8E comes with a 2600mAh rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, belt clip, removable antenna, wrist strap, desktop charger, AC cord, owner’s manual and a one year manufacturer warranty from Wouxun..
