A new version of theTrusted QSL (TQSL) application — version 2.4 — has been released.
The major new feature in this release is the ability to pre-set state, county, and grid values for a station location and verify that gridsquares are correct for the given QTH. Please see the release notes.
Earlier versions of TQSL 2.x should automatically notify users that the newer version is available and offer a link to download TQSL 2.4
Windows Users Note: Because of a defect present in recent versions of TQSL for Windows, users of TQSL:v2.2.2 through v2.3.1,will need to download and then run the installer manually.

Trusted QSL V2.4 Release Notes
This version of Trusted QSL (TQSL) has new features as well as corrections for defects found since TQSL
2.3.1 was released. This release also includes an update to the most recent TQSL configuration file.
TQSL 2.4 can be installed to upgrade any older version of TQSL.
On all three supported platforms (Windows, MacOS, and Linux), installing TQSL 2.4 will replace older
versions of Trusted QSL while preserving your Callsign Certificates, Station Locations, and preferences.
On Windows, simply run the TQSL 2.4 installer, which will automatically uninstall older versions of TQSL
(and, if installed, TQSLCert). On Mac OS X, open the disk image (.dmg) file and drag the “Trusted QSL”
folder to your Applications folder. Direct the installer to “Replace All”, which will uninstall old files. For
Linux systems, unpack the tar file and read the INSTALL file for directions.
TQSL 2.4 has been “localized” to allow use in the native language of non-English speakers. This could not
have been done without the help of the volunteers who have contributed translations for TQSL. Thanks

The following list describes the major changes in the v2.4 release of Trusted QSL.
When TQSL was signing a log with a QSO containing an invalid receive band (BAND_RX), TQSL was
displaying the wrong band in the resulting error message. TQSL now displays the provided band value as
On Mac systems, TQSL no longer displays “This language is not supported” when used on systems
configured to use Norwegian as the default language.
Major feature Additions:
TQSL uses an ARRL-provided address database to maintain address information for user callsigns. That
information that allows TQSL to provide default values for state, county, and gridsquare as well as
verifying that the entered gridsquare is correct for the given address. This change makes it much more
likely that users will provide this data with their station locations.
Never delete the private key associated with a Callsign Certificate. This change allows a user to recover
their current callsign certificate by downloading the latest TQ6 file from the ARRL web site under
circumstances where they have issued several callsign certificate requests.
Several corrections were made to the TQSL code to allow it to compile cleanly on newer Linux systems.
Builds on 64-bit Linux systems work properly now on most systems, and there is a means of override for
systems which do not build properly.
Translations updated, including a new Hindi translation from VU3YBH.
Reinstalling TQSL 2.3.x
Downgrading to TQSL 2.3 can be seamlessly performed by uninstalling TQSL 2.4 and reinstalling TQSL
