“t’s a new initiative that comes into light from the efforts and passion for the radio of Ivano ZA/IK2RLM and Fatos ZA1G. It’s an opportunity to bring together our personal experiences in order to create a meeting point for all those passionated of radio in Albania.
To this day, the radio is a necessary means of communication and knowing the principles that apply to such a means is of a vital importance to the individual itself, as well as to the community at large.
The radio amateur, out of his personal passion, conducts a research activity in the development of communications. He learns and continues to study how to develop and improve communication systems through the radio.
From some time now, there is an addition to this means of communication: digital communication via ether which allows sending and receiving, apart from our own voice, also data in a digital format.
This has been made possible due to sophisticated encoding systems which allow transmission and reception of a large quantity of data even in very difficult conditions such as strong disturbs, guaranteeing in this way a more stable and rapid communication.
The radio amateur doesn’t focus only on the study of electronics and construction of anthens, but dwells as well in many other fields, from physics to languages. The radio amateur tries to learn languages and expressions with the aim of communicating with any person around the world.
The radio amateur knows physics and astronomy which are fundamental and allow him to understand the propagation of electromagnetic waves and how they are influenced from electromagnetic fields and solar eruptions.
The radio amateur shows great care for ethical considerations and shows respect for others and the country of residence. It is quite normal between radio amateurs to have an informal communication.
The radio amateur, while communicating with other radio amateurs around the world, contributes to the promotion of the beauties of the country he’s transmitting from.
ARC aims to contribute to the development and growth of radio amateurism in Albania. Through the experience of its participants, it aims to reach all those people that feel that they can develop radio amateurism not only as a passion but as a mission in the service of the community.
We can offer assistance to the Albanian community in case of humanitarian emergency, as it’s done by radio amateurs around the world in such cases, thanks to our inherent knowledge in transmission and reception of radio signals.
Civil protection mechanisms around the world, use the experience of radio amateurs in order to establish communication in areas of disasters. In such cases, radio amateurs put their facilities and means in support of authorities dealing with disasters and to helping the population.
Radio amateurs have radio bridges and they have even sent many satellites into the orbita, contributing in this way to the improvement of Communications Systems either analog or digital through radio waves.
Being part of the community of radio amateurs in the world is a privilege.
This is the inspiration and driving force for the work and mission of ARC Albanian Radioamateur Club.”
