ii) App instances discover one another automatically – there are no ‘Accept Connection Request From xxxxx’ type messages. This is mainly because the app uses the rather impressive RTMFP peer2peer protocol from Adobe Labs.
iii) Works in three modes:
a) One to All – all users hear your transmissions, and you hear transmissions from all other users. This emulates ‘real’ Morse.
b) One to One – only one other user hears your transmissions, and you only hear transmissions from that user.
c) One to Several – only a restricted group of users hear your transmissions, and you only receive messages from members of that restricted group. Especially useful when the app is started in Internet mode but you want to restrict communication to a subset of app users.
iv) A web browser version of the app is available if you don’t have enough Androids. The browser version can be found at http://www.program2anything.com/morseintercom.html (it’s a Flash app, so must be run on a laptop or desktop).
v) Farnsworth mode – for learning Morse.
vi) The app is free, does not send you adverts, and does not infringe your privacy.
Starting Morse Intercom:
When you start the app you have to select either ‘WiFi Mode’ or ‘Internet Mode’:
i) ‘WiFi Mode’ – All users connect to a common WiFi network. Good for family or radio club use. All that is needed is a router that correctly handles UDP multicast datagrams. ‘WiFi Mode’ works even if your router is not connected to the Internet (so a radio club in a location that has no Internet connectivity should be able to use the app just by borrowing a members WiFi router – I haven’t tested this!). Please use ‘WiFi Mode’ whenever possible – it cuts down on ‘Internet pollution’ and possible external server overload.
ii) ‘Internet Mode’ – This mode provides full Internet connectivity. You should be able to connect to any other user of the app, anywhere in the world. This mode relies on external servers run and maintained by Adobe (this app is written in Adobe AIR). If these servers crash, or for whatever reason can’t be reached by your app, ‘Internet Mode’ won’t work.

Latest Changes:
V5.7.0 – A dot/dash decay option added. Helps minimise annoying clicks at high transmit speeds. Find it in ‘Other Options’ menu (three horizontal bars).
V5.6.0 – Non English characters that have accepted Morse equivalents can now be entered into both the ‘Message To Send’ and the three ‘Standard Message’ fields.
V5.5.0 – Restricted characters that can be entered into the ‘Message To Send’ and the three ‘Standard Message’ fields to those that have an ITU Morse code equivalent.
Made the ‘<‘ and ‘>’ characters move the insertion cursor in the three ‘Standard Message’ fields.
V5.4.0 – In RX Only mode, replay speed can be set to 8, 16, 24 or 32 wpm.
V5.3.0 – The three proforma messages for sending cq calls etc. can now be stored and will be reloaded next time app is run.
V5.2.2 – Added 3 new channels (2,3, and 4). Pre 5.2.0 users still hear you on channel 1 no matter what channel you send on (but you only hear replies if tuned to channel 1).
V5.0.0 – Added ‘RX Only’ mode. Messages are queued and can be replayed as many times as required, with a Farnsworth delay.
V4.0.0 – For increasing copy speed, ‘Farnsworth Method’ delays can be reached via the ‘Other Options’ screen button (three horizontal bars).
V3.0.0 – Added ‘Internet Mode’
