HERCULES 1500 – HF RF POWER AMPLIFIER (1.8 – 30 MHz )
Extremely robust HF RF POWER amplifier, the RF section is equipped with 2 DUAL 1250 Watt (2500W) freescale MOSFETs reduced to 1500 Watt, this in addition to ensuring a high reliability and continuity in the output power, ensures a low IMD. It’s possible to equip it with 1800 W Mosfet while maintaining the rated power of 1500 Watt, this certainly improves the protection on the “standing waves” and of course the already excellent “IMD”
The power section consists of two switcing professional power supplies of 1800 Watt each (3600 W) EATON APR48G, this solution allows to “work” in conditions of absolute “rest” to the apparatus.
A filter guarantees possible disturbances to the power supply network.
The RF section is completely enclosed in a 2 mm thick “BOX”, this BOX is made with “numerical control” machines, therefore extremely precise and robust.
The filter bench required a year of experimentation and testing to guarantee a low harmonic product and a low superheat, thus allowing the HERCULES 1500 to operate “H24” without any problem of “power drift”.
