The BTECH DMR-6X2 is the most versatile dual-band DMR radio available. Designed for both amateur and commercial usage with its large, bright 1.77″ color TFT display. The DMR-6X2 can store 4,000 Channels with 10,000 Talk Groups and 150,000 Contacts
The DMR-6X2 is a true dual slot DMR radio compatible with DMR Tier I & 2
The DMR-6X2 went through extensive development, for over 2 years, before its public debut. As the first BTECH DMR radio, we took pride in testing and refining the user experience, all while developing features to accommodate all users to the best DMR experience possible. It was not worth rushing a radio if it couldn’t be our best!
Even now development hasn’t stopped; the DMR-6X2 is firmware upgradeable – and we would love to take your feedback to include into future firmware updates!
DMR DIGITAL STORE & FORWARD REPEATER
The DMR-6X2 has a built in recording chip which is utilized in the Store and Forward Repeater Mode (Not compatible in Analog mode*)
Once toggled the DMR-6X2 will store and forward conversations on the same band or even as a cross band repeater. It records the incoming audio and once the signal drops – it will forward the audio to the assigned frequency (and vice versa). The DMR-6X2 will even allow you to store and forward on the same frequency.
The Store and Forward repeater can be assigned as a side key function from programming software. It is compatible with: VHF/VHF; UHF/UHF, VHF/UHF, and UHF/VHF
ADJUSTABLE SCANNING FEATURES
The DMR-6X2 allows you to be in full control of your channel scanning lists. With up to 250 channels in a zone (and up to 10,000 channels in the radio); the ability to adjust your scanning bank (by adding or grouping scanning channels (and banks) together) allows you to have the perfect adjustment to the size of your channel list. This allows you to customize the scanning preferences to fit your needs.
You can scan a single channel list, and monitor a high priority channel (the DMR-6X2 will check back on the priority channel in between the normal scanning channels); or if you want to monitor the most traffic – you can combine scan lists together and scan through multiple linked lists togeth
GET THE MOST FROM YOUR RADIO USING OUR FREE SOFTWARE
There are so many ways to customize your DMR-6X2 with our free programming software! You can download and use our free programming software (Windows only) with the included programming cable to get the most from your radio.
Amateur users can easily create, import, and customize premade DMR channel and contact templates available online and sometimes available in your local amatuer club. You can also generate your own .csv list to easily import your favorite channels right into the software.
The DMR-6X2 software can open and use AT-D868UV codeplugs.
ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
We tried to think of the simpliest way to use the DMR-6X2; even down to how text messaging works. Instead of going through a menu to reply when you get a text message; you can simply hit reply to the received text message.
As a radio designed and focused for USA businesses and consumers; the DMR-6X2 uses imperial (versus metric) measurements while using the GPS display modes.
Using your favorite talkgroups in DMR is now easier. By manually dialing a talkgroup, the DMR-6X2 will hold the talkgroup indefinitely until you change the channel. You can also set your maximum talkgroup hold time to “infinity” while communicating with your favorite group or user (avoiding ‘timing out’).
In Analog mode the DMR-6X2 allows for CTCSS (PL/Privacy Tones), DCS, 2-Tone, DTMF, and 5-Tone. You can use multiple 5Tone, 2Tone, and DTMF receive and transmit groups for different channels (allowing commercial users to use several tone profiles from one radio)
The DMR-6X2 uses a loud 1 watt speaker; with adjustable volume options (customizeable in software) to set your preferences to accommodate both indoor and outdoor users.
The DMR-6X2 case is durable for the most extreme elements. The DMR-6X2 is rated IP54 for water and dust resistance.
The DMR-6X2 is firmware upgradeable with the free software and firmware update tools from BTECH.
The DMR-6X2 is: 5″ tall (10.5″ with included antenna), 2″ wide, and 1.5″ deep (2″ with belt clip).
