SPRATLY ISLANDS. Pekka, OH1TV and Pekka, OH2YY will be QRV from Pulau Layang Layang, IOTA AS-051, from April 5 to 9. Their call sign will be announced on April 4. Activity will be on 80 to 6 meters using SSB and some CW. QSL via OH2YY.
TUNISIA, 3V. Special call sign TS60ID is QRV until May 20 to commemorate Tunisia’s 60th independence day. QSL via operators’ instructions. In addition, a group of operators are QRV as 3V8SM from Djerba Island, IOTA AF-083, until April 3. Activity is on the HF bands using CW and SSB. QSL via LX1NO.
TIMOR-LESTE, 4W. Tack, JE1CKA, Hide, JI1AVY, Jim, 7K4QOK, Yutaka, JQ2GYU and Miho, JJ2VLY will be QRV as 4W/home calls from April 5 to 11. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. This includes an entry in the upcoming Japan International DX contest. QSL via operators’ instructions.
WEST MALAYSIA, 9M2. Members of the Persatuan Radio Amatur Muar are QRV with special event station 9M4PB until April 2 as part of a Beaches on the Air activity. QSL via operators’ instructions.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, A6. Special event station A60SHD will be QRV from April 7 to 23 to celebrate the 14th Sharjah Heritage Days. QSL via IZ8CLM.
FRENCH POLYNESIA, FO. John, K3JZ and Marjorie, N7SOF are QRV as FO/home calls until April 20 from IOTAs OC-046, OC-067 and OC-057. Activity is holiday style on 40 to 10 meters using CW, RTTY and JT65. QSL to home calls.
JUAN DE NOVA, EUROPA, FT/J. A group of operators are QRV as FT4JA from Juan de Nova Island, IOTA AF-012, until April 11. Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY, and TEP and EME on 6 meters. QSL via F5CWU.
HAITI, HH. James, VA3MPG is QRV as HH2/VA3MPG from Port-au-Prince until November 17. He is active in his spare time on the HF, and V/UHF bands. QSL via VE3NLS.
SVALBARD, JW. Manfred, DK1BT, Wolf, DL4WK, Sigi, DL7DF and Frank, DL7UFR are QRV as JW/home calls until April 4. Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 with two stations. QSL via DL7DF.
BULGARIA, LZ. Members of the Bulgarian Radio Blagovestnik are QRV as LZ1700SIP during April to honor Bulgarian Saints throughout 2016. QSL via bureau.
ANTARCTICA. Mikhail, RW1AI is QRV as RI1AND from Novolazarevskaya Base, IOTA AN-016, for one year. He is active on the HF bands using CW, SSB, and various digital modes. QSL to home call.
GREECE, SV. Members of the Radio Club of Kastoria are QRV with special call SX210RCK until the end of 2016 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Activity is on 160 to 6 meters, and the V/UHF bands, using CW, SSB and RTTY. This includes some activity from some SOTA summits as well. QSL via bureau.
PALAU, T8. Akira, JH0CKF will be QRV as T88MZ from Koror Island, IOTA OC-009, from April 5 to 8. QSL to home call.
TURKEY, TA. Ben, DL7UCX and Bernd, DL7VBJ are QRV as TA0/home calls from Marmara Island, IOTA AS-210, until April 11. Activity is on 40 to 10 meters using mainly CW and RTTY. QSL to home calls.
HEARD ISLAND, VK0. A large group of operators are QRV as VK0EK until April 10. Activity is on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via M0URX.
OPERATIONS APPROVED FOR DXCC CREDIT. The following operations are approved for DXCC Credit: Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea, P5/3Z9DX, 2015 operation; Albania, ZA/IW2JOP, all operations.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The North American SSB Sprint Contest, NCCC RTTY Sprint, NCCC CW Sprint, 15-Meter SSTV Dash Contest, LZ Open 40-Meter CW Sprint Contest, Mississippi QSO Party, Missouri QSO Party, SP DX Contest, EA RTTY Contest, UBA 6-Meter Spring Contest, RSGB RoLo 80-Meter SSB Contest and the RSGB 80-Meter Club CW Championship are all on tap for this weekend.
The ARS Spartan CW Sprint is scheduled for April 5. The UKEICC 80-Meter SSB Contest, CWops Mini-CWT CW Test and Phone Fray are scheduled for April 6.
The ARRL National Parks on the Air event runs during all of 2016 to mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.
