Edmonton, Alberta & El Centro, California – November 13, 2015 – Alfa Radio, home of the highly regarded AlfaSpid antenna rotator line since the late ’90s, have appointed Hector Garcia authorized AlfaSpid service representative for the USA with immediate effect. Garcia, a professional antenna and tower installer for the amateur and commercial markets, has a comprehensive knowledge of antenna and tower systems in addition to knowing antenna rotators “inside and out.”
The rugged and precise AlfaSpid line has grown to twelve models, from the medium duty RAU to the heavy duty BIG-RAK azimuth rotators, RAS and BIG-RAS az-el rotators, and new ‘RING’ rotators that clamp around Rohn 45, 55 and 65 towers at any height plus high-resolution “/HR” versions that bring AlfaSpid’s already excellent resolution to 0.2 degrees or better!
Garcia is stocking AlfaSpid spare parts at his El Centro base and will be handling both warranty and out-of-warranty repairs. Garcia prefers that customers first contact him via email at Hector@Force12inc.com before shipping any rotators for work. “AlfaSpids, thanks to their rugged steel casings, dual worm gear drive system and lack of ‘things that break’ such as rotator brakes, seldom need repair. However, when they do need some TLC, U.S. customers will have a domestic option. I am very happy to be working with Mitch, Don, and the Alfa Radio team in opening an authorized service center in the states,” says Garcia.
Alfa Radio managing director Mitch Mitchell said, “We’re thrilled to have Hector on board to help us deliver superior service to our growing U.S. customer base and help support our expanding product line including the new /HR models that are finding favor with scientific and government users.”
Alfa Radio Ltd. was incorporated February of 2001 when it purchased the assets of Alfa and Central Western Communication Ltd. a 40-year old family run business. Alfa Radio Ltd. is owned by nineteen shareholders who are all amateur radio operators with the mission of keeping a fully stocked ham radio dealer in Alberta. The company currently sells most lines of amateur radios and accessories from its Edmonton, Alberta HQ including the AlfaSpid rotator line, popular with amateur and professional users. AlfaSpids are sold worldwide with installations in Antarctica, Russia, and Australia, to mention just a few.
Hector Garcia, who holds the amateur radio callsigns AD6D and XE2K, is a professional tower and antenna installer with over twenty years experience and a customer base covering the southwestern US from Texas to California as well as across Mexico. Garcia is also the Latin America sales rep for Force 12 and InnovAntennas and now the authorized US AlfaSpid service rep.
Force 12 has sold tens of thousands of their cutting-edge antenna designs since the early ’90s. Force 12 Superstore offers a complete selection of Force 12’s own products and also represents in North America the famous English-made InnovAntennas products designed by Justin Johnson, G0KSC along with 4O3A Signature line of triplexers, filters and Genius station automation devices, AlfaSpid rotators, low noise VHF and UHF preamps from SSB Electronic, and other accessories.
