AFFECTED BY ANTENNA ATTACK
Three Archi stations on the Big Island of Chiloé, specifically, from Ancud, experienced surprise and dismay this Tuesday morning, when they found that their radio signal was not operational due to an attack that brought down the tensioners of the transmission antennas.
The attack determined on the Huaihuén de Ancud hill and silence for a total of five stations; three of them Archi stations: Caramelo, Esperanza and Pudeto, as well as the Insular and Positiva stations along with other telecommunications companies that affect, among other things, the Wi-Fi signal in Chiloé as a result of the criminal actions of an undetermined number of unknown persons who demolished two communication towers with the use of napoleons.
The Archi board of directors, along with regretting and strongly condemning the crime that left the radios already identified out of operation, pledged their immediate support so that their signals return to normality as quickly as possible.
“This is a new litmus test for radio broadcasting, in this case for our Ancud partners. Despite this, we will know how to get ahead with the solidarity and unrestricted support of the union,” reported Eduardo Martínez, president of Archi.
In conversation with the union’s communications area, the regional president Archi of the Los Lagos chapter, Ramón Agüero, detected that “today we had a sad awakening in the Ancud community as a result of the attack that damaged three indigenous radio stations in the area, without However, we have the certainty and conviction that we will succeed. “
The Los Lagos leader also stressed that “the regional committee is actively working with the national president, Eduardo Martínez, so that our colleagues and friends can return to normality as soon as possible.”
