Embed a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module in an amateur HF transceiver to wirelessly inject I2C control messages.
DESCRIPTION
Although eminently hackable open hardware/software commercial Amateur Radio gear is now available, wireless interfacing to smartphones and tablet mobile devices is not universally implemented. This project provides such an interface for the computers we use today.
No smartphone app development will initially be necessary. The Lightblue app, free from the app store, will connect to the transceiver’s embedded module and send I2C test messages as a BLE payload entered from the app’s keyboard….
